About this tour

This active, full-day excursion takes us on a land tour, sailing through the Beagle Channel and walking and discovering one of the wildest and most beautiful places in Tierra del Fuego. You leave Ushuaia heading east along National Route Nº3 and then along route "J". Once at Estancia Harberton, we visit the Marine Mammal Museum and the surroundings of one of the first European settlements in Tierra del Fuego. Then you take a zodiac-type motor boat in the direction of Martillo Island. From the boat you can see penguins in their breeding site. The motorboat navigation then continues to the main attraction of the day: the enormous Gable Island, where lunch awaits with a good Patagonian wine, soda and mineral water. After a coffee, the walk begins to explore this wonderful island. Along the way you will find remains left behind by the Yámana civilization and by the first settlers, in an infinite and primordial, magical and extreme landscape. In the midst of a silence only disturbed by the wind and birds, you can experience the feeling of being alone in the world. After about two hours of walking, we return to Puerto Harberton by zodiac to take the bus to Ushuaia.
