Follow these tips when visiting Ushuaia
By following these recommendations, you will be well prepared to enjoy your visit to Ushuaia to the fullest and explore all the wonders that Tierra del Fuego has to offer. Have an amazing trip!
What to bring:
- Layers of clothing: Ushuaia has a changeable climate and it can be cold even in summer, so it is advisable to dress in several layers of clothing that you can add or remove depending on the temperature.
- Waterproof coat: Bring a waterproof coat or hooded jacket to protect you from rain and snow, especially if you plan outdoor activities.
- Thermal clothing: In winter, consider wearing thermal clothing underneath your layers of clothing to keep you warm.
- Gloves, scarf and hat: Don't forget to wear accessories such as gloves, a scarf and a hat to protect your hands, neck and head from the cold.
- Sunscreen and sunglasses: Although the weather may be cold, the sun can be very intense due to the high ultraviolet radiation in the region. Be sure to bring sunscreen and sunglasses to protect your skin and eyes.
- Waterproof boots: A pair of waterproof and sturdy boots are essential, especially if you plan to hike or trek in wet or snowy terrain.
- Small backpack: Bring a small backpack to carry water, snacks, sunscreen, an extra layer of clothing and other essentials during your outdoor activities.
- Camera and binoculars: Don't forget to bring a camera to capture Tierra del Fuego's breathtaking scenery and binoculars to observe local wildlife, such as birds and marine mammals.
- Book in advance: If you plan to do popular tourist activities, such as boat trips on the Beagle Channel or the End of the World Train, it is advisable to book in advance to secure your spot, especially during high season.
